WCMPU first support tier is an emergency response service. We have a 24/ 7 helpline for incident reports and all callers are advised on steps to take in logging the incident officially with SAPS so as to ensure quick turnarounds in finding the missing individual(s). We also liaise continuously  with the investigating officers on the case so as to ensure a continuous flow of information between parents and authorities, often advising the officers on duty as to the correct steps to take.

The Western Cape Missing Persons Unit was established the 20 May 2017 by president and founder Candice Sobotker Van der Rheede. 

 The unit consist of members with over 10 years of crimefighting experience and who are committed to improving conditions in all areas.
